The role of the Pastor/Leader is not to "rule" over the flock, rather to lead, teach and protect. | In Jeremiah the Lord gives harsh and strong warnings to the pastors about destroying or scattering the flock. (Jeremiah 23:1) |
Many "leaders" lose their vision, spiritually speaking. Look at the story of the blind man, and think about the spiritual aspect of the story: Looking at this story we can see that by allowing the entire body to help with the loss of the vision the blind man. Now take losing your spiritual vision, with the help of the entire "Body of Christ" you also can get back on the path you were on. Even leaders sometime need a little guidance. A good leader is also a good follower and listener. Don't let spiritual blindness control your life, call on God, and let the entire body work as it is intended to, "TOGETHER". | A man who loved to go walking in the park and through the paths that wound through it lost his vision, he so much wanted to continue his walks and continue on those paths but he could no longer see the way. He tried for so long to make it on his own without any type of help, but all he did was stumble and fall. He then learned how to depend on the other members of his body, the other senses. He learned how to feel using his hands, and to listen, even the smells around him helped him to learn again how to get around. With the help of his body, he was able to get back on the paths and not to stumble as much as before, because he allowed his other senses to work, therefore putting his entire body to use and getting back on the right path. |
